What Is a Good EcoVadis Score?
On the EcoVadis scale of 0 to 100, a score of 45 or more is rated Good and earns the Committed badge. Medals are separate: they go to the top 35% of companies rated in the previous 12 months, with no published cut-off. A good score is the one your customers ask for.

How to Improve Your EcoVadis Score
Start with the scorecard from your last assessment. Most lost points come from documentation: policies with no evidence of action behind them, no quantitative KPIs, no public reporting and no certifications. Fix the gaps your scorecard flags, back every claim with a dated, specific document, then submit for reassessment.
How to Get EcoVadis Gold
EcoVadis Gold goes to companies in the top 5% of everyone rated in the previous 12 months. No fixed score guarantees it, and you need at least 30 in each of the four themes. Getting there means documented policies, measurable actions and published results across Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
What Is EcoVadis? Ratings, Medals and Scores Explained
EcoVadis is a business sustainability rating. You complete an online questionnaire and upload evidence, and EcoVadis analysts score your company from 0 to 100 across four themes: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Large buyers use the scorecard to assess suppliers, and the strongest performers earn a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum medal.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the average EcoVadis score?
EcoVadis does not publish a fixed average in its medal rules. What matters more is your percentile, since medals go to the top 35%.
Is 50 a good EcoVadis score?
50 sits in the Good band and earns the Committed badge. Whether it wins a medal depends on how other companies scored in the same period.
What score do I need for a Bronze medal?
There is no fixed score. Bronze goes to the top 35% of companies rated in the previous 12 months, with every theme at 30 or above.
What is the minimum score for any medal?
Each of the four themes must score at least 30. Beyond that, medals are awarded by percentile.
Can my medal change if my score stays the same?
Yes. If other companies improve faster, your percentile falls and so can your medal.
What is the Committed badge?
A badge for any company scoring 45 or more, whether or not it earns a medal.
How do I find out what score my customer needs?
Ask the buyer who invited you. Requirements are set by each customer, not by EcoVadis.
How can I raise my score quickly?
Fix documentation first: dated, signed, company-specific policies, measured KPIs and a supplier code of conduct. Ella drafts these and collects the evidence for you.
