Futureproof is now Ella: introducing our AI ESG Assistant

Today we’re excited to share two big updates: Futureproof has rebranded to Ella, and we’ve launched Ella - our AI ESG Assistant.

This change reflects the direction we’ve been moving in for some time. As ESG expectations grow and reporting becomes more complex, organisations need tools that do more than store data. They need tools that help them understand it, act on it, and navigate changing frameworks quickly.

That’s exactly what Ella is built to do.

Why we rebranded

When we first launched Futureproof, our focus was on helping organisations structure and manage their ESG reporting. Since then, the landscape has evolved quickly.

Companies now face:

• Increasing regulatory complexity

• More ESG frameworks and disclosure requirements

• Greater expectations from stakeholders

• A growing amount of sustainability data to manage

At the same time, AI has transformed what software can do.

We realised that the platform we were building had evolved beyond the original Futureproof concept. We weren’t just helping companies track ESG anymore - we were building a system that could guide organisations through ESG with intelligence and automation.

Ella represents that shift.

It’s a platform designed not just to hold ESG data, but to help teams ask better questions, move faster, and uncover deeper insights.

Introducing Ella - our AI ESG Assistant

Built on everything we’ve learned working with companies through Futureproof, Ella uses AI to support teams with ESG reporting, data collection and decision-making.

With Ella, organisations can:

Rather than replacing the work ESG teams do, Ella is designed to support and accelerate it.

Our goal is simple: save teams time and reduce complexity, so they can focus on improving impact rather than navigating spreadsheets and frameworks.

Built with our customers

Many of the ideas behind Ella came directly from the organisations we work with.

Over the past months, we’ve had dozens of conversations with customers about the challenges they face managing ESG - from gathering data internally to interpreting frameworks and preparing reports.

Those insights helped shape how Ella works today.

What’s changing

With this launch, Futureproof has rebranded to Ella across our platform, website and communications.

While the name has changed, many things remain the same:

• Futureproof Ltd remains the legal entity providing the service

• Our team and support remain the same

• Our mission - helping organisations manage ESG effectively - continues

Over the coming weeks, organisations using the Futureproof platform will be onboarded to Ella, unlocking the new capabilities of the platform.

Looking ahead

We believe AI will fundamentally change how organisations manage sustainability and ESG.

The future of ESG platforms isn’t just dashboards and data storage. It’s systems that can interpret frameworks, surface insights, and help teams move faster.
